For every seat we sell, we will plant 10 trees, bringing the fight against climate change into living rooms across the world. When you buy rahusofas, you aren’t just buying fantastic peace of sustainable sofa. You are helping make a positive difference in the world.
As well as our commitment to planting trees with every sofa sold, we do a whole lot more for sustainability and minimizing environmental impact:
Most of the materials we use are locally-sourced, meaning less transportation is needed and, in turn, we produce less of a carbon footprint.
We use solid wood as it is a natural, renewable, and sustainable resource. All of the wood we use in our sofas is replaced with new trees. We plant more trees every year than we use to craft rahusofas.
Every sofa is shipped in recyclable cardboard boxes. The cardboard we use is made of recyclable paper. This way, we prevent excess trees being cut down and save the energy and freshwater that would be needed to create a new paper for cardboard production.
We sort production waste – wood waste is diverted to energy production, while paper, plastic, and metal are recycled.
The rahusofas we make are sustainable products which can easily be dismantled and recycled. Nothing is left for the landfill.
Transporting bulky sofas is a huge impact on the environment. We ship sofas flat and we don’t ship air. This takes up less space in the trucks, allowing for the transportation of more items per journey. Once again, this means lessening our carbon footprint.
Long-lasting materials and durability, the craftsmanship, smart design, replaceable components, extendibility, and quality of our sofas mean that you’ll want to hang on to them for a long time once you’ve got them, reducing the carbon footprint of the industry as a whole. The longer the furniture lasts and will be in use, the more environmentally friendly it is.
